I hate to snore!Help!!!!!!!?
I have always wondered if their was a natural way to get rid of snoring.I have been told that I have that particular problem but have never researched the solution.I figured maybe someone knows the solution to this problem.Any assistance pertaining to this matter would be very well appreciated. Can someone help me!Thank you!!!
There are many different things that can cause snoring. I am not overweight at all, but am told I snore loudly. However, for many people, loosing weight does help. You may have a deviated nasal septum, which can contribute to snoring. You may have subtle allergies. Acid reflux, which you may not even be aware you have, can cause snoring by inflamming the back of your throat. Sleep apnea is also a major cause cause of snoring, and this usually requires a doctor care.
My suggestion would be to first try taking an OTC acid inhibitor every night before you go to bed: Pepcid, Axid, Prilosec or the like. See if that might help. The nasal strips do help to a degree, as does sleeping on your side, but of course it’s difficult to maintain this position all night. If all else fails, I would consult with a doctor for further help and suggestions. Good luck.

My new girl friend broke up with me because I snore at night.?
OK, here is the problem. My dad snores and my mom do not. Their solution to sleeping together is having different room. Dad has his own room, mom does…besides there are many other places for either of them to sleep such as our sitting room and veranda in the house..
I suggested to my girl friend lets do like my dad but she was not happy with that decision…she started acting wired and broke up with me because of stress…Now I am really confused..
I don’t see anything wrong with partners having different room and living in the same house…I just miss my man life and I wish I will continue to have that private room to do my thing while she has hers…She insisted that we have to live together and sleep on the same …
She is very cuddly but I am more of a hard on guy… LOL Help help please lol
If she would break up with you for something stupid like that, then I think that kind of foreshadows what’ll happen later. If bigger problems come into your relationship, will she just handle them by breaking it off and not trying to work at it?
My advice: consider somebody else.

What do about my boyfriend snoring?
My boyfriend is only 20 and his snoring is awful most nights. It keeps me awake and is frustrating. I know their are surgeries out there to fix it, and some say exercise helps. The nose strips and sprays do not work because it is coming from his throat, not his nose. He believes he has sleep apnea, but we do not have the money to test for this. Anyone else experience this and can reccomend a solution thayt worked for them?
Sometimes not sleeping on his back works, but when it is really bad snoring, sleeping on his sides does not help at all still.
Sorry, one more thing. I have considred ear plugs, but I have to hear the alarm to get up. An alarm rarely wakes him up, I have to wake him up usually.
Your boyfriend needs to seriously consider testing for sleep apnea, especially if the snoring seems to be throat-based. I’ll just bet he has it, too. Age is not a factor; I am told kids as young as 12 can have it.
I have it and didn’t know it. For me, it wasn’t a snoring issue; it was an issue with not getting a restful night’s sleep. I’d wake up in the morning and feel completely exhausted.
I was tested three years ago and was shocked to find out that I stopped breathing 30 times in three hours, which essentially woke me up. When the clinic stirred me, they put me on a CPAP (controlled positive air pressure machine) and I fell into deep REM sleep for the first time in I can’t remember. Since then, I use the CPAP every night and sleep like a baby. You will, too.
I can’t stress enough the health implications of this beyond the lack of sleep. It is a severe drag on the heart and respiratory system.
I can’t speak to your financial issues, but medical insurance should cover this if your doctor makes the referral.
According to my doctor, surgery has only a 35% success rate. I didn’t like those odds. My experience with Breathe-Rite strips was largely negative although they were helpful when I was at the gym (-:
